Telling Time in My Readings

Here’s a question I received from a long-time client:

Hi, Debbie. I have a quick question regarding birthday energy. Why is birthdate/energy so important in our lives? I may have asked this before, but I do not remember. You did advise me to get through my birthday energy before starting anything new.

And I believe this includes 6 months after my birthdate, also.

Thanks-

Mary

Hi Mary - what my Guides have taught me is that the astrological energy generated at the anniversary of your birth is kind of like putting a new battery in a toy! It starts things up again and gives you a new lease on life for the year. However, like birth, it can often be a bit raw until things have settled down a bit - I often feel it takes 6 weeks to 3 months for the birthday energy to stabilize.

Then, they say that the quarters of your year are other high points, with the 6 month anniversary being the 2nd big energy boost after the birthday. The 9 month mark always signifies to me “the birth of something new” like a new baby born in 9 months, so in those years that you’ve perhaps been in transition since the birthday (a common thing to have happen) the 9 month point will often be the coming out of transition into the new chapter, which then is sort of cemented into place with the next birthday 3 months later. And, it seems to be better to do things after the birthday or quarter mark, rather than just before - with the battery analogy, you want the new energy after the anniversary rather than the end of the old energy before it.

None of this really has anything to do with astrology per se, just that in my readings it’s worked out this way. (In other words, it’s not based on your sign.) I used to often predict something based on timing, and when I would later find out the birthday, it would almost always be right on the money with that way of telling time. So, finally the readings just got to where we’d look for it on purpose and use that method to help people understand how the cycles often seem to work, and to help me know how the timing of something would fall.

It’s certainly not scientific, and I’ve never really heard of anyone else talking about it the way I do in readings, but it seems to work, and it’s borne out time and time again, so I don’t question it!

Thanks for asking - hope that helps!

Debbie
