Question about Soulmates that have passed

A young client of mine is suffering the grief of losing a dear boyfriend, who we tuned in to during a recent reading. She then wrote that “I’m having a very hard time and I need to know that he’s listening and watching. I need to talk to him to see if he really knows what I going on. And if we are old soulmates, how can we live apart??”

Here’s my answer:

I absolutely promise you that he’s listening and watching and trying his best to let you know he’s with you!

We have lots of soulmates that aren’t incarnated in this lifetime, they’ve stayed in spirit, and others that we only know briefly, (like M., who has died so young), and others that come into our lives and leave again, like teachers and schoolmates and friends, etc. Just because someone’s a soulmate doesn’t mean it’s a life long relationship, it doesn’t even mean we’ll like each other! It just means we have a long, extremely close tie that spans many lifetimes, for better or worse. I’ve often seen that people who are enemies, or in terribly abusive relationships, are actually soulmates that have come back together to try to work things out. In any case, with your friend, you’re still loving soulmates, but he’s just not in the physical form any longer; it doesn’t change how he feels about you!
